no doubt it is an amazing miracle that man should have been able to overcome the animal conditions of his existence so far as to build the towering edifice of civilization. 이 문장에서 should have pp는 일반적 뜻인 ~했어야 했다.가 아닌것 같은데 어떻게 이해해야 하나요? 문법적으로 설명 부탁 드립니다.
